CHAMPION HAVUZ Tarak
Litter brother to outstanding female, Havuz Dalga

CHAMPION Havuz Tarak was one of nine fawn with black mask, short coated pups conceived in Turkey and born in quarantine in England in 1977. Havuz Dalga was another pup in this litter. CHAMPION Havuz Tarak was imported to the USA from England by Stafford Prante. Tarak was Best of breed at the 1978 and 1981 ASDCA National Specialties. He in turn sired three National Specialty winners: Champion Yildiz Noel Chomar and Champion Sahih Chomar, whose dam was Baska Banu Chomar and Champion Kayan's Toraman, whose dam was Cream of Sakarya (Tami) Havuz Tarak's dam was Mektup of Obruk (UK Reg 33130/70), a tricolour bitch who was taken back to Turkey to be bred by Akkus of Oltan. Akkus was an impressive white Turkish working flock guardian.

She whelped December 25, 1978. This litter produced two (2) ASDCA National Specialty Winners (Champion Yildiz Noel Chomar and Champion Sahih Chomar) as well as two (2) top-notch livestock guardians (Melek Chomar and Kadar Chomar), who were featured in many of the early publications and videos about the Livestock Guarding Dog Project. Also produced was Mesin Chomar, the Dam of Basinda's Asil (Bear).
